Write here...

This week we started our Major Key Series by discussing the Will of God. We tried to break down the meaning of God's Will and how we can apply it to our daily lives. We handed out keys to everyone and allowed them to write down the three main bible verses we focused on. They now can hold unto this keys and use them as reminders in their daily walk in life.

JOHN 6:28-29
Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”

A majority of us want to know if we are following God's Will in our personal lives. Even the disciples asked this question to Jesus and his response was straight to the point. God wants all to receive eternal life through his son Jesus Christ. (John 3:16) Its pretty hard to follow the will of God if you don't believe in Him or His loving sacrifice for us through his Son. This verse encourages us to examine our hearts, seek our beliefs, and to ask ourselves what we truly want for our lives.

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him

Because of God's love we are encouraged in whatever we are doing or saying to represent Christ. It's not always about what we do but who we are becoming when we do the things we do. We do admit that this isn't always easy....

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose

Some of us have a hard time making decisions because we are so concerned with not displeasing God. We all have at one point steered outside of the "Will of God" but it doesn't mean we can't walk back in it. Any slip-up or misstep can and will be used by God for His greater purpose of good. Now this doesn't mean there aren't consequences for the actions of us or other people. But it does encourage us to trust in God because he wants to lead us to the best.

We ended our event by encouraging everyone to do something. To chase after their dreams and passions without the fear of falling out of the "Will of God". But to focus on the way they live and who they are becoming when they are chasing their goals. That whatever they are doing.....that they are showing the love of God.
